How Our R6 Sensitivity Calculators Work

This page documents the assumptions, formulas, and validation process used by the Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity tools on this site.

What the tools are designed to do

The calculators are built to provide repeatable starting points for Siege players. They are not meant to declare one best sensitivity, replace in-game testing, or guarantee that every optic will feel identical. The useful result is a baseline that can be verified with the same drill after a setting change, update, mouse change, or DPI change.

ADS calculator assumptions

Siege separates ADS values by optic magnification. The ADS calculator uses the player's chosen ADS value as an anchor, then estimates related scope values with scope-specific coefficients. The output should be treated as a practical table to test, not as a permanent truth for every player.

  • The result depends on the ADS value entered by the user.
  • FOV, aspect ratio, and multiplier must match the actual game setup.
  • Different optics can still need small manual adjustments after testing.

Cross-game converter assumptions

The sensitivity converter focuses on rotational distance. In simplified terms, it translates a source sensitivity into a target sensitivity by comparing game-specific coefficients and DPI. This gives a more useful baseline than copying menu numbers between Siege, CS2, VALORANT, Apex, or other shooters.

Important limitation:

FOV presentation, recoil, movement speed, ADS multipliers, and scope behavior can make two mathematically similar settings feel different. Always test the converted value in the target game before using it in ranked play.

How we validate a result

  1. Record the original settings before changing anything.
  2. Generate a baseline with the relevant calculator.
  3. Run the same short drill: wide flick, micro-correction, tracking pass, and one scope transition.
  4. Change only one variable if the result feels wrong.
  5. Save the verified setup and retest after major game or hardware changes.

Update and independence notes

We review the calculator workflow when Siege updates change optics, ADS behavior, or settings presentation. R6SensCalculator.com is an independent site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Ubisoft Entertainment.

If you notice a value that does not match the current game behavior, contact us with the input values, platform, FOV, aspect ratio, and a short description of the test.
